I sit in the corner of the coffee shop, the one with the best view of the door. I like to sit there every day helps me avoid my social anxiety and I can make up stories about every one of the customers that enters the shop while I finish my coffee, it’s one of my favourite activities to do helps me forget that there are so many people around me. Time to scout the shop. Tall blonde haired man at the counter bit of a burly man with a round bottom quite bigger than mine and his jeans that are a few sizes too small for him aren’t the best decision. He looks like a Mike and probably works down at the construction site near the shop judging by his boots. He looks like he has been married once and it didn’t work out wife left him because they went broke because of too many bank debts…and this really hurt him bad he lost his children, two sons in the custody battle. He cries himself to sleep every night because he misses his old life but tells no one and puts up a tough act; he does this by being extremely mean to everyone he is hurting inside. He didn’t order decaf coffee because of the sleepless nights he needs to be awake at work. The job he has is barely paying his debt. Dark Horse by Katy Perry has just come on in the shop, snapped me right out of my imagination the Mike guy has gone out probably to his job at the construction site. Now my next subject average dark haired lady of average weight too looks happy too happy, and on her hand I can see a stone ahh! she just got engaged. No wonder her joy. Her tank top, tight fitting jeans and flip flops outfit show off her perfectly toned body. Let’s call her Jane I didn’t think she has an actual job because she would be dressed up for it at seven in the morning and her friend who she is blabbing to excitedly behind her is dressed extremely causal too. Jane is probably like 25 and is happy because she has gotten married to the man of her dreams someone who is quite high up in the corporate world and is going to take care of her and keep buying her pretty and expensive things. Jane’s friend is trying to be happy for her friend but can’t find the heart to because they had made a pact to both get married at the same time when they were twelve and Jane seems to have forgotten. Jane needs the coffee because of being up into the night doing wedding preparations and her friend helps her. The wedding is this weekend. Portia is what I’m calling the lady who has just walked in, her hair is curly and dark but dyed to blonde using cheap dye, she’s tall slender and looks extremely sleep deprived. Her eyes have traces of heavy make up being excessively used and her clothes look like hand me downs. She must be a prostitute needs the coffee to get ready for her day job. She looks exotic probably an immigrant, came to this country to make a career as a model but it didn’t go as well. Portia had her dignity when she came, managed to do a few cheap ads that got embarrassing as they went but she did not take off. Now she is slightly above 30 and is just trying to make ends meet, she had a baby during her prostitution job and lost the child to a miscarriage. She has no family because she ran away from her country against her mother’s will and now she needs the coffee to wake her up as she goes to her waitress job. Tony has just walked in in a sharp suit and appears to be having a very serious conversation on his phone, he points to the worker behind the counter seems to be a signal for his regular. His hair is perfectly in place with the right amount of hair gel, suit and shoes are clearly designer and his comportment could be too if possible. Tony is a corporate lawyer. Young and fresh from university he got the perfect job at one of the top firms and now he has made it on the door he is partner. Tony is married to his high school sweet heart Quinn who he insists must stay at home as me makes enough to provide but Quinn keeps herself busy regardless. Tony comes from a great family of lawyers and is a great example to his father he is the perfect son. Tony has to kids with Quinn a boy and a girl both at a prep school somewhere in the city. Tony is living the American dream. As I stand to walk out of the coffee shop a tall handsome man walks in he is dressed quite casual and more to the feminine side. He walks towards Tony and kisses him. Tony then gets the baby from him and proceeds to get his coffee. That’s all I saw because I’m out of the shop now. I’ve had enough for the morning now off to work.
